- Platforms: Kosmic Kanga.
- Shoot'em ups: Flying Shark.
- Complex: How To Be A Complete Bastard.
- Breakout/Logic: Gatecrasher.
- Sports: Jahangir Khan's World Championship Squash.
- Racing: Stunt Car Racer.
- Maze: Zona 0.
- Action: Highway Encounter.
- Small Skill: Stop The Express.
- Small Shooter: Frenzy.
In past editions we had troubles with recordings in several games (E-motion, Wec Le Mans...), so banning those kind of games will calm fearful players.
Among the games, there are classics like Highway Encounter, Flying Shark or Stop The Express, and new ones like Zona 0, or Jahangir Squash that we hope players discover and give them a chance.
For curiosity, the game with more votes has been Stop The Express with 93 votes!, and the closets votes have been for platform category, with three games fighting for the victory.
Before next Monday (when tournament starts) we'll publish special rules (SR) for some games and some formulas we'll use to calculate the scores for games like Jahangir Squash or How To Be A Complete Bastard.
Remember that you are able to sign up until 29th October.

Nice game selection! :)
I've been playing flying shark (with pokes) and seems to be looping once you finish the 4th stage. I think you should check if the game turns harder (can't say for sure with those pokes...)
Don't worriy Kak, I've been playing the game too, and you could do all the loops you were able to!
Hi Eduardo!
Is it really good to do allo as many loops as possible? I mean, we had 4+ hours recordings in manic miner until we put a 'one loop' limit
I'm going to comment it to the rest of the team. May be we should allow players do two or three loops max.
Excellent stuff you got here! The compo seems fun too!
Hi, Eduardo.
First of all, congratulations for your blog. It seems to be too interesting.
Regarding your selection, I have to say that it is really good. I'd like to have enough spare time to practise and sign up for this tournament, but I haven't :-(
Anyway, I'm a Spectrum fan, and of course, I'll continue visiting your blog.
Best regards.
Lol! im the best of the best in stunt car racer!
Well sauron, you could prove it in the tournament... :)
Hi, got to know this blog thanks to a post
on mine Altribit
), i don't have time for the
competition itself but i've forwarded it
to some friends of mine who are keen retrogamers... ;).
Thanks c64days, it's hard for us to have Italian players, although there's one (Alessandro) who comes back every year and give us good games.
I don't know Italian retro sites where advertise the tournament, so it'd be great if you tell about us to your friends.
Hello all!
Thanks for all the effort in tournament set up, including this blog and all email information provided to the players.
For me, I only played before 4 games of all 10 selected, that is, Highway Encounter, Frenzy, Kosmic Kanga and Stop the Express ... I promise to learn the rest of the games :)
I hope it will be an exciting tournament like last year one.
Thanks again
Hello Pablo, thanks for your gratitud. I think that emails to players and this blog helps the tournament to be close to players, and in some way, more alive.
That's something I missed in firsts editions, although you don't know how they worked, and I wanted to fix it.
Of course, if someone has some ideas to improve the tournament, the team will be willing to hear them.
