Today I feel chatty, may be because I've a meeting with some old friends I didn't see some time ago... :). Well, I think this blog can't be abandoned as it was last years... So I'd like to hear opinions of players and followers of Speccy Tour (because I know there are people that don't play but follow the tournament).
There are known players, who do you think will be the winner of this edition?. Seeing last editions, rebufo is the man, because Metalbrain has told me that he couldn't have time to play, but we have some Speccy Tour winners... nlucas.zx (humitsec) and me, but I think I won't be a real candidate because this year I've been father and don't have too much time to play....
Anyway, have you realize that there have been only 3 Speccy Tour winners? Alexandar Lukic, Néstor Lucas and me... but I think there are other players that who can win this tournament. Well, this is your tournament!. You must think that this is a real and serious tournament, people can't cheat, poeple like to compete, and this is THE TOURNAMENT for Sinclair ZX Spectrum players.

When it comes to quality players the winner is decided by the amount of time they enjoy for the games.
That is, pray for a busy last week of Aleksandar Lukic if you want to win the whole thing.
Personally I don't ever dream of winning it, but I'd like to do a decent tournament and perhaps increase the amount of mastered games by one.
BTW, I can't playback the Demo of Codename MAT, it reports back the error of the RZX must be corrupt, I'm using Spectaculator 7.01...

I'm sorry for the delay. I know Codename Mat's demo can't be played at Spectaculator 7, that's the reason because I didn't make a video of it. May be it could be played at Spectaculator 5.3, I'm going to check it, but anyway, at previous editions there weren't any demos, so players had to figure out and learn to play the games...
No worries for the delay mate
I'm in that task at the moment.
I put shield on, I look rear, I look forward, I accelerate, I set a cruise speed.
I even kill two baddies.
But I'm still not comfortable navigating the solar system. My score is inevitably 0000. I think that for two baddies that were hard to kill I should be given 5 points each. :D
I even read the manual once, but I have to "study" it to know what's going on well.

It's great to be back at the Tour after a long hiatus, due to my ever-increasing commitment to work and academic and volounteering activities.
As usual, I am the only one representing Italy - a country where, alas, the Spectrum was a good deal less popular than its arch-rival, the C-64.
Since I don't have much time to play and improve my scores, I must limit my ambition to a place among the top 10 Spectrum players of the world. That would be a great achievement for me. Anyway, I wish all fellow competitors in the Tour to have a fun time.
We're very pleased to see you again one more year!
Although you have not much time to compete, I hope you will get some fun playing against us.... so if you don't want to get frustrated don't play Gotcha :)... I'm joking...
This year there weren't too much players from ouside Spain, so having an Italian like you is always great!
