SpeccyTour 2010 10th annyversary

But now we're in 2010, a special year for the tournament, because it's the 10th annyversary, 10 years guys, I think it's something very difficult to get at this times....


First of all, I have to thank Michael Bruhn to create this tournament, it changes me a lot. Then, I want to remember one guy that was very special to me for the games he developed... As you may know, Johnathan Smith died a month ago, he was a great guy, and my favourite Spectrum programmer, so this year the SpeccyTour team has decided to drop the Action category, and have a new one Joffa's Tribute in honour to this great person.


When, tears aside :'-).... The SpeccyTour is coming soon, in fact, you can sign up right now at HARP. If you already have an account there, you only need to login and register at the tournament, however, if you don't have an account, you need to register first, then sign up for the tournament.


Here you have the SpeccyTour's calendar:

* Sign up period, from yesterday to 11th November!
* Voting period, from 6th Sep. to 26th Sep.
* Tournament period: from 11th Oct. to 19th Dec. (10 weeks)

We have another new feature, there'll be a new Leaderboard system, a mix between F1 that was running from ST2008 to ST2009 and the old classic Leaderboard which was running from ST2001 to ST2007. We expect that the new system was more fair for every player.
