Some comments about the games I've played for now...
- Daley Thompson's Decathlon: I've played very few games and got a good record, but it'll be beated.
- Turmoil: This is one of I like most. I've not played too much, but I think I'll reach last stage.
- Gotcha: Frustrating game, you have to play hundreds of games to control it right. I think this game is getting crazy to more than one player :).
- Galactic Trooper: Another good game. I like it!, but it's true that playing at 50k points it's hard... As I said to Alex, final score will be 70-75k.
- Beaky: I've only played four games, and got first place, so I think I won't be at top too much time.
- Android 2: One of my favorites, it seems very hard at first 50 games... and it is!. I have to train a lot...
- Uridium: Zoran has got a very good score, I'm at 2nd place but I think this week I'll be 4th or 5th.
- Dictator: It seemed strange to me at first glance, but it's not bad game... and its timing has let me play it while I'm looking after my daughter :)

* Daley Thompson's Decathlon: Boring.
* Turmoil: Love it. This is the kind of game I didn't play back when I was 15, because I entered the SPeccy World quite late 1987 or something. Some foreign older jewels did come in some tapes full of games, but Turmoil wasn't one of them. What are the other tools for?
* Gotcha: Good game for competition. I can see Lukic with a smile when he selected this game. It's about quick and accurate fingers, knowing the patterns of the doors, and anticipating. Typical game that we'll all improve and we'll all love if we play enough and we'll all think that we're good enough at some point. And then Aleksandar appears with a score that is 5 times bigger than yours.
* Galactic Trooper: Good game.
* Beaky: For some reason in the early Speccy games they had a passion for birds. It's a decent game, but I don't enjoy it much. Not so far anyway
* Android 2: Still learning, I like it.
* Uridium: While I feel comfortable with games like Zynaps, or Salamander, Uridium has a tougher learning curve. I have to practice more.
* Dictator: I love it. I got 104 being a Coward and getting away in a helicopter while I had some money in Switzerland.
In another game I stayed 23 months at the charge, which in Ritimba is a record of permanence, I removed the power of secret police, the peasants were happy and clappy, and I only got 96 points.
I trusted the country, I refused to buy a helicopter, I survived two terrorist attacks, all for the people of Ritimba. And what do I get? 96 points. Bah.
eyp, I hope you do get through all the rounds of Turmoil! Its a game with a few levels that need a bit of luck and to play all the way through requires nearly an hour of concentration.
As to the other games, I don't mind Galactic Trooper or Beaky - both simple enough and quite good for me but I hate Gotcha and I will try and leave it out of my 8. I can't see why, with such a great list of games to choose from - that Alex chose Gotcha but perhaps I don't like it because I'm bad at it.
I'm enjoying the rest of his selections though (but yet to ever play Codename Mat). Daley looks like it will be very competitive.
VS
Ivan (Sabre):
In Dictator you have to be a dictador!! :), a good dictator is not popular and doesn't have its population happy...
Daley is a bit boring, but as VS (who are you?) said, it will make a war among players, like Hypersports did some years ago.
VS?
eyp, how many tour players do you have with these initials?
Ven.
I'm sorry Venerable Stack, I know you as Stack! :)... too many things in my head
by the way, we share the 'baby daughter doesn't interfere with progress in dictating over Ritimba' situation!

Someone wrote this about Gotcha:
'Typical game that we'll all improve and we'll ALL love'.
You can forget about that we'll ALL love it. I ALWAYS HATE THIS GAME. Alex, one day I'll get my revenge :)
Frankie: I think you'll love it in the end, hahahaha!... well I'm trying to love it, but some times it's irritating X-|
My comments about the games Alex chose for this year's Tour, should anyone be interested...
Uridium and Daley Thompson's Decathlon are two true Spectrum classics, it's always a pleasure to play them.
Beaky was a nice surprise - I didn't know about this pretty little game, it's fun and quite challenging to play and the cartoonish graphics add a lot of atmosphere.
Codename Mat is not a bad game in itself, but it definitely shows its age. It's been superseded by many similar and better titles, such as its sequel Codename Mat II or Dark Star, Star Raiders II, Tau Ceti, Academy and so on.
Turmoil seems to be liked a lot by everyone except me. Again, not a bad title, but I preferred, for instance, Automania a good deal more.
Android 2 - a greatly overrated title. Interesting at first, but palls quickly. Costa Panayi has done much better than this.
Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge is monotonous, repetitive and the up/down effect becomes soon nauseating. However, I managed to get a good score in it, so as long as I should play it for the Tour it may be okay, but surely I won't ever touch it again later :)
Dictator - not one of my favourites, and it shows. Although strategy/management games are among the ones I liked best even since my early forays into Spectrum gaming - one for all, Mugsy -, this one does not appeal to me. Sometimes it feels excessively "scripted", with events going on always in the same succession; sometimes it seems to behave erratically, with revolutions popping out for no apparent reason.
Galactic Trooper - crud, but somehow enjoyable, as long as your aim is merely to amass points.
Gotcha - crud and irritating :(
