Horace's leeching

Two weeks ago I consider that what people did on Horace game was leeching, but Michael Bruhn, the responsible os HARP's Spectrum Regulation Play don't think same way, and I respect his opinion, because he has more experience than me on this kind of tournaments.

He has said on SpeccyTour's Forums this:

"Sorry Edu, but in my book it's not leeching as you can't gain an extra life doing it. If they pass a point where they get an extra life, so that there life count stays the same its leeching. This is not leeching, just using your lives the way you want to do.

Leeching is when you stay at the same spot making easy points because you can't die. That is not the case here as you can't do it forever.

Leeching is also when you stay at the same spot making enough points to gain an extra life, then let yourself die to do it all over again. This is also not the case here, as you can't get a new life by getting a certain score, then die and repeat it endlessly.

Sorry Edu, no matter what you say this will never be leeching in my book, it's just a case of administrating your lives the best possible way to make as many points as possible. The player who figures out at what point he can't beat the platform stages, and gets to the rope stage before that with as many lives as possible to do this trick, is the player who would win, as he would get the most points."

So I have to admit he is right. So you are allowed to do what you want in Horace & Spiders.
